Chadwick Boyd: "A Hungry Dream: Changing the World for Good Through Food & Words"

UNC Charlotte alumnus Chadwick Boyd '93 will return to campus on Wednesday, Nov. 6 to speak to current students about the impact that his UNC Charlotte education has had on his impressive career in food television, books, magazines, consumer brands and more.

Students will walk away with priceless career advice and a sampling of Chadwick's biscuits from his current national “Biscuit Time” tour with Chef Carla Hall!


Since graduating from UNC Charlotte in 1993, Chadwick has grown his company, Chadwick Boyd Lifestyle, into a multi-media enterprise that collaborates with television networks, publishing houses, magazines and consumer brands.

Over the last 25 years, Chadwick has worked with such brand powerhouses as Food Network, Random House, Meredith Corporation and Target to develop and grow the ‘food as lifestyle’ niche that now is a prolific part of American culture. Uniquely, he has grown as an authoritative figure that works behind the scenes as well as in front of the camera.

Chadwick can be seen regularly on television and on movie screens. His new series, “Christmas Cookie Matchup,” debuts on Hallmark Channel on Nov. 13. He also is a regular on Hallmark Home & Family, Food Network's The Kitchen, and many other shows from coast to coast. Chadwick also is the host of "Reel Food," the first food entertainment series in movie theaters nationwide. Every month, a new episode hits 15,000 movie screens across the country.

Chadwick has concepted and developed 15 food and lifestyle books with North Carolina’s Sara Foster, Food Network’s Tyler Florence and many more. He self-published his Recipe Collection, "Entertaining with Vegetables," with a foreword written by Nathalie Dupree. The Collection is now in its 6th printing and was chosen by TED as one of the 78 books to help you recharge your life. He is working on a new vegetables and a biscuits books.

Chadwick contributes to Better Homes & Gardens, Rachael Ray Every Day, The Kitchn and Serious Eats. He is frequently featured in House Beautiful, Redbook, Yahoo! Food, Southern Living and more! He has cooked and entertained alongside some of the most engaging chefs and beloved celebrities in the world, including Chef Art Smith, Trisha Yearwood, Dolly Parton, Ellie Krieger and many more.
