International Speaker Series: Former CIA Director John Brennan

John BrennanFormer CIA Director John O. Brennan is currently a Distinguished Fellow for Global Security at the Center on National Security at Fordham Law School, a Distinguished Non-Resident Scholar at the University of Texas at Austin and a senior Advisor at Kissinger Associates Incorporated. 

Brennan served as Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in 2013-17, advising President Barack Obama on counterterrorism strategies. He also helped coordinate the U.S. Government’s approach to homeland security, including policies for responding to terrorism, cyber-attacks, natural disasters and pandemics.

At the CIA, Brennan specialized in Middle Eastern affairs and counterterrorism, leading a multi-agency effort to establish what would later become the National Counterterrorism Center.

Brennan will discuss and present U.S. National Security challenges and opportunities based on his previous knowledge and experience.
